ENGLISH WORKSHOP
• Introduction
The trip helped us to know about the Antioquia's culture, the organization of their towns and we visited the most important turistic places of the department. I spent , time along with my friends.
The travel is divided into 4 days:
Travel
to Antioquia: We traveled from the north of Bogotá, after a few hours
we arrived to Doradal, to breakfast. La dorada is in Caldas, and is near to the magdalena river.
We went to the natural reserve
Rio Claro, it is located in the North part of Antioquia and the area is
about 250 hectareas, it have few differents species of animals and plants, the reserve has protected so good the nature, because some companies like the land to build big factories there. We walked along the river with a beautiful
scenery, it had differents trees and animals, they live in the river. The guide told me that the "Tunel del tiempo" that is a small cave in the rock, had many kinds of stalactites. Finally we lunch in the restaurant.
The
hotel Antioquia tropical is so big, it located in Girardota, the north
of the Aburra valley, and it have 250 bedrooms and 2 suites. When we arrived to the bedrooms Jorge Luis said the importance to safe the hotel.
• Day 2
The
Occidental Tunnel is 4,6 kilometers long, so is the most longer and
tecnological tunnel in latin-america, when we crossed the tunnel, a radio signal said the recomendations to take care in the tunnel.
After that, we arrived in santa fe
de antioquia and we visited the occidental bridge that was so beatutiful and old, it was built in 1885, have 291
meters, and is an important monument of colombia's history. It connects the town of
Olaya with Santa fe de antioquia, the middle occident with the distant occident of Colombia. The bridge now is in damaged conditions, so the big cars can't cross it.
Santa
fe de antioquia have a cathedral built in XVI century, this is one of the nine colonial churchs. In the down town
have a statue of his founder Jorge Robledo, He was a rich priest. This town was the Antioquia's capital for more than 30 years. The colonial hauses have a big history, The guide told us, that were built in the XVI and XVII centuries, and there lived the most important people of the department.
The religious museum is a place that show us, the Santafereña culture, you can find many paints or statues of saints, Jesus or Maria. and historic objects of the religious advance in the Department; the guide said us, that this museum had been bleesed by the town's priest.

Then, we walked on the town and lunch there we went to the Explora park, is one of the most important tematic parks in Medellin, it is located in the north of the city and have a large acuarium of the most representative acuatic species of Colombia.
We went to a dancing goat in the city of Medellin. The goats are a important part of the Colombia´s culture, and it is use to transpot people, it had a beautiful paintings.
We went to the Botero´s park, and we saw his most important scultures made by he.
• Day 3
We traveled to Guatape to visited the Peñol Stone, a monolite of 220 meters hight that have 740 stairs, this is located near a laggon. The wiev is so beautiful because it have a lot of lakes joined at a big Dum.
A shopkeeper told me that the people of the town had wanted write in the stone GUATAPE, but the Antioquia's Government prevented it, and they only reached write GI, the letters that today we found there.
The stone look like a sutured skin, with the stairs.
I brought some bananas in a shop of this town, and I wendered her price, and the shopkeeper explain me that, this occurs because the the added value of the transport was much lower there.

After that, we went to the Guatape's dum, and we Browse there, in a beautiful boat, that belonged of the "Hotel Los Recuerdos", this boat,
whose investment exceeded 1,500 million pesos, measures 32 meters long,
14 wide and 9 high. In total they are 758 square metres distributed
over two levels. And it has a capacity for 500 people.
The captian told me that the boat had 500 force horses.
The medellin´s subway is wonderful, the Niquia station had 2 big plataforms and a big bridge to comunicate the two extremes of the avenue, this subway connects 4 towns, with Medellin, and so many people used it. The Acevedo´s station connects the subway with the metrocable, it go to the most mountainous areas of the city
